Africa has a lot of instability due to political and economic instability, which has brought a lot of instability to international trade. Exports from Europe, Oceania and Latin America are relatively stable. The North American market has been steadily rising, but in 2019, affected by the US 301 investigation of China, the decline was relatively large.

At the beginning of 2020, the public health incident brought a huge impact to our country and even the global economy, and colleagues also put the electric motor industry into an unprecedented predicament. So, what is the export situation of generator sets this year?

According to customs statistics, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic in February, the export volume of generator sets declined rapidly. Since March, it has shown a trend of recovery and has gradually stabilized since June. In December, my country's imports and exports of mechanical and electrical products continued to maintain rapid growth. In 2020, the cumulative export value of my country's generator sets was US$3.074 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.29%.

The current epidemic has led to a further decline in global economic growth and a further slowdown in the growth rate of infrastructure construction. The development of the export market for power generation equipment has been greatly affected. In the future, it is necessary to accelerate the integration of domestic and international industrial standards for power generation equipment, deepen cooperation with countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, enhance international influence and competitiveness, fill up domestic production vacancies, and enable the stable, sound and sustainable development of the power generation equipment industry.
